Its actually May the 6th and I still can’t get this particular day out of my mind! I first saw Star Wars 38 years ago and I still get a big chill down my spine when I see an Empire Star Destroyer or an X-Wing fighter flash across the screen. I still wonder if what I am seeing is actually possible – that’s the power of the movies to take us to another place, another world and a brief escape from reality. But what is really cool is that I can now share my secret world with my equally excited children. Roll on December when the force will awaken again for yet another adventure.

Now back to reality… May 6th 2015 and I am on my way back to Wellington. I haven’t keep track but its about my 10th trip to our capital this year. Its 7.30 am in the morning and 20 degrees outside. Fantastic day for flying – It still amuses me that the flight time is a fraction of the time spent waiting around and travelling to and from the airport.

The day begins for real as we are now boarding at gate 18.
