Aviation enthusiasts like me now have a chance to view the world’s largest passenger aircraft in our own backyard as Emirates begins a daily A380 service at Christchurch Airport.

Emirates announced last month it would become the first to offer regular scheduled A380 services to Christchurch replacing the daily B777 service to Sydney and on to Dubai.
